UPSC ESE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidates must be either an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before January 1, 1962. Individuals from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or East African nations may also apply, provided they have received an eligibility certificate from the Government of India.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a degree in engineering (B.E/B.Tech) from a recognized university or institution. Specific qualifications are required for certain posts, such as M.Sc. in Wireless Communication for the Indian Naval Armament Service.

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of January 1, 2025. Relaxations are provided for SC/ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates.
