BEL Security Officer Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Security Officer:
  • Three-year graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Must be an SSC Officer of Captain rank from the Indian Army, or equivalent rank from the Navy, Air Force, or Central Paramilitary Organisations (CAPF).
• Assistant Security Officer:
  • Should have served as a JCO (Junior Commissioned Officer) or equivalent in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or CAPF.

Age Limit (as on 1st September 2024)

• Security Officer: 32 years
• Assistant Security Officer: 40 years
  • Age relaxations:
    • OBC (NCL): 3 years
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per government guidelines.

Salary

• Security Officer: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 per month + admissible allowances (CTC: Approx. ₹10.34 lakhs per annum).
• Assistant Security Officer: ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month + admissible allowances (CTC: Approx. ₹7.75 lakhs per annum).

Additional benefits include allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, medical expenses reimbursement, provident fund, and pension.

• SC/ST/PwBD: Exempt from fee.

BEL Security Officer Selection Process

1. Written Test (85 marks):
   • Eligible candidates will be called for a written test at Bengaluru.

2. Interview (15 marks):
   • Candidates clearing the written test will be shortlisted for an interview at Bengaluru.
