Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent (Full-time) in any of the following disciplines:
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Computer Science
- Candidates must have secured at least 70% marks (for UR/OBC) and 60% marks (for SC/PwBD) in aggregate in all semesters/years.
- Only full-time, regular courses will be considered.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years as of 16th October 2024.
- SC: 5 years of age relaxation.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years of age relaxation.
- PwBD: 10 years of age relaxation.

HAL ATC Trainee Salary and Benefits
- During Training: Stipend of ₹30,000 per month with additional allowances such as Variable Dearness Allowance and Canteen Allowance.
- After Absorption: Basic Pay of ₹30,000 on the Grade-I scale (₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000), along with Variable Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Performance-Related Pay, and other benefits like medical facilities, leave, Provident Fund, and Gratuity.
HAL ATC Trainee Selection Process
The selection process comprises:
- Written Test: An offline test consisting of 136 marks split into:
- General Awareness – Part I (17 marks)
- English and Reasoning – Part II (34 marks)
- Technical questions related to the discipline – Part III(85 marks)
- Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates (in a 1:5 ratio based on the written test) will be called for a skill test, which will assess cognitive abilities, psychomotor skills, and other related skills.
- Final Merit List: Based on the combined performance in the written test (85% weightage) and the skill test (15% weightage).
